So, what is SAD?

During the darker, colder months of the year (that’s 364 days per year in the UK), some people can suffer from low mood, loss of pleasure in normal, everyday stuff, and a lack of energy. This is Seasonal Affective Disorder, commonly known as SAD.

Even if you don’t suffer from SAD, darker days can cause low moods. Yeah, we’ve been there!

This study from ISIC has shown that by drinking 75mg of caffeine every four hours (that’s around one cup of coffee) you can have a measurable increase in mood through the day.

Yessss!

And do you know what? Even the smell can help.

So, next time someone tells you that you have too much coffee, just smile and keep on drinking.
