Heinz Means Coffee Beanz

As part of a nationwide revamp of their range of products, Heinz have added a raft of new products to their portfolio of products including the one we’re very excited about – Coffee Beanz. We got wind of this a while ago but finally had it confirmed.

Heinz has brewed up an interesting packaging concept and has opted to supply the beans in baked beans cans. Just don’t try and put these in the microwave!

Vera-win Da Botham, President of of Innovation and Sustainability, said: “We’re very excited about the prospect of providing beans in cans. Not only does it mean that we utilise our existing packaging lines, but it also keeps the very familiar branding that the nation knows and loves”.

“Heinz lightweight, 100% recyclable steel cans are already one of the most sustainable and widely recycled packaging options on the market. And the brand is continuously working to make them even more sustainable: innovations in the way cans are designed has made them a lot lighter over the years.”

What about the Beanz themselves?

To fit in with their decades-old “57 Varieties” tagline, Heinz have created a unique blend of 57 different coffee origins – they will be marketing this as “57 Origins”.

Heinz hopes to blaze a trail with this new product and initially roll it out in the UK. If successful, it could be rolled out across Europe and the Americas early 2022.
