Coffee Bags From the Home Coffee Co

When we were asked if we’d like to try these coffee bags from the Home Coffee Co we of course said yes. We’re always looking to try new coffee products. It’s one of the best parts of our job.

Coffee Bags – What Are They?

Coffee bags are a type of coffee brewing method that uses small, sealed bags of ground coffee. They are similar to tea bags in that they are easy to use and produce a quick cup of coffee. Coffee bags are made from a variety of materials, including paper, bamboo, and compostable plastic. They are available in a variety of flavours and strengths, and can be found at most grocery stores. If you were looking for a general overview you might say that they are positioned somewhere in the middle of instant and ground cafetiere coffee. As avid French Press fans, we’re always a little wary of trying new coffees but always prepared.

About Home Coffee Co

The coffee used in these Home Coffee Co Bags is produced on fair trade farms in countries including those in South America, Ethiopia and Vietnam and then roasted right here in the UK.

They only use the finest ethically sourced beans from around the world and all the packaging is recyclable too

We tried the Impresso Espresso first. We did actually let it brew for longer than suggested. That’s because we like our coffee strong. When we brew a pot of coffee, we always use more than the recommended amount. It’s like tea – some people are one dips while others will happily leave the tea bag in the cup while they drink it. You have to do what suits you to get the strength of the cup that you want. We found it wasn’t quite enough to release the full flavour so left it and squeezed it a bit more to get the intensity that we were looking for.

Then one by one we tried the other bags to see which was our favourite. Jury is still out on that one. It is currently between Rise and Shine and Impresso Espresso. We were pleasantly surprised though. Not sure what we were expecting but we did enjoy this coffee.

The Benefits of Coffee Bags

Coffee bags offer a number of advantages over other brewing methods, including:

  • Convenience: easy to use and can be made quickly.
  • Cleanliness: mess-free and easy to clean up.
  • Versatility: can be used to make a variety of coffee drinks, such as espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos.
  • Cost-effectiveness: a more affordable option than other brewing methods, such as drip coffee makers.

If you are looking for a quick, easy, and affordable way to make a cup of coffee, coffee bags are a great option. They are convenient, clean, versatile, and cost-effective.

We do love the no mess approach to this method of making coffee. Especially when you see the state of our worktop some days when we might have an accidental spillage. We thought these coffee bags would be ideal for travel when you don’t want to pack the French press for a week away. You can just pop these in your stuff and have a decent cup of coffee while camping for example. You can also pop them in your bag and take them to work. Such a convenient way to transport coffee on the go.
