The Orea Brewer: The indestructible aluminium coffee brewer made for explorers

No more fancy and fragile glass or plastic coffee brewers. Small, lightweight, and milled out of a solid chunk of aluminium, the Orea Brewer is the bulletproof brewer for explorers and outdoorsy types. That’s what we’re talking about!

We review the Orea Coffee Brewer: The world’s most compact full-size pour-over brewer

It’s a brewer, but not as you know it. This coffee brewer is milled from a solid chunk of aluminium and weighs a negligible 60 grams. It fits into those little nooks and crannies of your camping gear: In cups, camping pots, the corner of your bag, in your left shoe, whatever.

It’s perfect for camping, backpacking, biking, or just for use at home if you need your brewers less fragile and more cack-handed-proof.

How does it brew?

The unique design extracts brighter notes and sweetness.

The unusual drainage ring gives a faster flow rate than standard, meaning that you can grind finer and still get a good flow, extracting the brighter coffee notes. “If you love the nutty, fruity, citrusy, or chocolatey tastes that come with specialty coffee – you will love this brewer”.

It uses standard Kalita Wave filter papers.

What is the Orea Brewer price, and where can I buy it in the UK?

It’s not cheap by a long stretch, but it’s good value. You can pick it up online here for £55, exclusively available in the UK from Assembly Coffee. Filters are available online here.

Who is Orea UK?

Orea means “from the mountains” and fits in with their philosophy of coffee brewers made for explorers.

They believe in making better products that last forever: “fast fashion and throw-away consumer products have taken over the world. We don’t want to add to that, instead we make products that last a lifetime”.

How do they make the Orea Brewer?

Milled from a single block of aerospace-grade aluminium on a CNC machine, it has a single-piece construction that’s guaranteed to last through generations. “The most robust brewer on the market – guaranteed”.
