What exactly is the Tranzend Ultra Shirt?

It’s a shirt, baby, but not as you know it.

Firstly, and most importantly, it’s made using recycled coffee grounds. More on this later!

It’s a high-performance shirt, and designed to be uber-comfy and practical. And it’s breathable, stretchy, wicks away moisture and has unique odour-control properties. It’s also a precision garment: The panels are laser-cut and it has ultrasonic “stitchless” seams. It also has ultra-convenient magnetic cuffs and snap-on buttons. Want to hear more? It’s machine washable, non creasing, anti-yellowing and has UV protection.

It’s a seriously high-tech performance shirt.

How is the Tranzend Ultra Shirt made?

The fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles and coffee grounds.

Old coffee grounds are collected and then all the remaining oils in the grounds are extracted. It’s then mixed with the flaked-up recycled plastic bottles, which in turn are made into a yarn. The yarn is then woven into the fabric.

Where can I get the Tranzend Ultra Shirt?

It’s not out yet, but you can sign up on Kickstarter where they’re smashing their fundraising goal. Go get one!

It’s available in any colour as long as it’s black or white.

About Tranzend

“Inspired by the rainy London town, TRANZEND was founded in London in 2016 to create functional wear with a classic sartorial aesthetic. We launched our first product the Ultra Suit on Kickstarter in 2017 and was 300% funded with our beloved supportive backers. Ultra Suit has then continued its journey on Indiegogo and Makuake (Japan) followed by offline retails in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Since then, the team has traveled around the world in search of the best place for R&D and, finally settled in Taiwan with deep integration and support from our partnered company.  Later, we launched two crowdfunding projects in Taiwan which are the Ultra Suit 2.0 and Ultra Coat. They collectively raised $12M+NT from local supporters.

We’ve learned and gained experiences through the past projects, especially throughout the pandemic. It was not easy to orchestrate production when factories are closed unexpectedly combined with crazy sales drops. With that said, it did not stop us from continuously finding solutions through apparel to adapt to our modern lifestyle. With intense trial and error, we’ve come up with our new product, the Ultra Shirt. Believing it’s a wonderful piece of design that we would like to share with you and bring it back to Kickstarter.”
