The Wacaco Nanopresso: Be your own Barista in the Great Outdoors
The Wacaco Nanopresso is a bit of a beast, even thought it’s pretty small, light and sleek. If you’re an outdoorsy person and you need a VERY good espresso on the run, then this could be the machine for you.
And if looks are important, then there’s probably a style for you. It comes in a load of different colours, some amazing, and some, if we dare say so, not so amazing. But hey, to each their own! Who are we to judge?
There’s no doubt that it’s a powerful piece of kit, and by simply pumping it with your hands, you get a whopping 18 bars of stable pressure. Bear in mind that 9 bars is a perfectly acceptable pressure for espresso, and some would say the perfect pressure. This equates to a pressure of pushing the knob with 13kg of force. Using two hands you’ll do it with no hassle. Because it’s pressurised the pressure does not drop dramatically between pumps.
The Nanopresso is designed to be used with well-tamped and finely-ground coffee. Because of the pumping system, it uses less force than the previous model, the first generation Minipresso. The quality of coffee is extremely good due to the pressure, but it’s very important to get the grind right.

What do you need to use the Wacaco Nanopresso?
You need ground coffee, hot water and the Nanopresso. A decent view is optional but highly recommended. Please note that the Nanopresso does NOT heat the water.
The Nanopresso: Small but mighty
It’s a smidgeon over 6 inches long, and weighs just 336 grams. That weighs less than a can of Coke, and just a bit taller.
The water tank holds 80ml of water.
It’s very easy to clean; all the portafilter components separate for easy cleaning.
Does the pressure drop between pumping?
Absolutely not! Once the pressure has been built up, it remains very stable during the whole extraction process. See below video.

The Wacaco Nanovessel is an insulated flask that fits the Nanopresso. Instead of pouring water from a kettle or flask into the Nanopresso water tank, the Nanovessel mounts onto the Nanopresso and is used as a large external water tank.

This is a bunch of accessories all packed into a handy container, which allows you to make a double espresso using up to 16 grams of coffee, with an extracted coffee size of 120ml.
Nanopresso NS Adaptor (Nespresso® Adapter)
Don’t fancy taking ground coffee or a coffee grinder along? Just use this adapter and use Nespresso® pods instead. We won’t judge you.
