$8.5M in funding pours in for Copper Cow Coffee as coffee at home surges

Tear, hang, pour, squeeze.

We’re talking about brewing a Copper Cow Coffee pourover, of course.

Copper Cow Coffee is a Los Angeles coffee company who describe themselves as “equal parts Vietnam, equal parts California” and they specialise in single-use pourover coffee and tea pouches, predominantly focussing on Vietnamese products.

Since they were started in 2016 by CEO Debbie Wei Mullin, sales have tripled.

And now, led by Cultivian Sandbox Ventures and Arborview Capital plus a bunch of at least six other investment firms, they’ve had an $8.5 million cash injection to fund further growth.

The Los Angeles-based company, self-described as “equal parts Vietnam, equal parts California,” said it has tripled revenues annually since its founding in 2016.

An all-woman board of directors

Vietnamese-American CEO Debbie Wei Mullin is “quality-obsessed, eco-friendly, and proud to be part of the 2% (and growing) of women-owned companies with venture funding.”

“These days you’ll find us working tirelessly towards Debbie’s dream of making Vietnamese coffee a household product, all while sipping a healthy number of lattes in our cozy Los Angeles office.”

And wow, it’s happening fast!

Vietnamese Pour Over Anytime, Anywhere

The concept is simple, but it’s brilliantly executed. Barista quality coffee at home, with totally natural flavours, all sustainably sourced.

They promise “simple ingredients you demand (never resorting to additives or anything artificial)” which is “ready to captivate your senses right now.”

The packs come in a range of wonderful flavours including Rose, Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Churro and Lavender – to name just a handful.

Tear, Hang, Pour Squeeze

Yeah, that’s it! Tear open the sachet, hang it on your best cup, pour some water over it and then squeeze the creamer in. Done!

Pics please?

It looks stunning. Go get some. And Copper Cow, if you’re reading this, please send us some to the little old UK!
