Starbucks are finally dropping their dairy-alternative surcharge

For a long time, Starbucks have offered dairy-free milk options, but you had to pay an extra £0.40 for the privilege. Now they’ve announced they’re dropping their dairy-alternative surcharge for good, as well as revamping their vegan drink range.

They’re promoting oat in a big way, with a bunch of new drinks all based on Oat Milk.

They’ve got three new flavours, specially designed around the unique flavours of Oat: Strawberry & Vanilla, Honey & Hazelnut and Dark Cocoa & Orange. The drinks are all paired with the Starbucks Blonde Roast which is a bit lighter than their traditional very dark roast.

And from today, the 5th of January, they won’t charge your any extra for any of their five dairy alternatives. (Oat, soya, almond, coconut and their own Starbucks Original Nut Blend.

It’s just a fancy way of naming their new Oat based drinks which are made using their Blonde Roast. That’s all!
