Bugatti Coffee Machine

This Bugatti Type 35-inspired Coffee Machine will get you all revved up and happy

Ok, let’s have a little moment of thought: When was the last time you looked at a capsule coffee machine and thought, “wow, that is incredible!”? This Bugatti Coffee Machine might be the exception.

Yeah, OK, it is a pod machine. It’s a bit like finding out that the Bugatti Type 35 actually runs on AA batteries rather than petrol. A bit of an anti-climax. And let’s be a bit generous, pods are actually getting a lot better than they used to be. Especially when all you could buy was those Depresso capsules.

The other thing is that this is only for Bugatti VIP Members. Which at the time of going to press isn’t remotely a possibility. So let’s not get hung up on the details. Let’s look at the machine itself. Wow, it is incredible!

Time to meet Sajdin Osmancevic’s stunning Bugatti Coffee Machine creation

The Bugatti Type 35 is a classic motoring icon and was driven in its first Grand Prix in 1924. It was driven by master engineer and racing driver Jean Chassagne. That was back in the day when racing drivers had to get their hands dirty and checked oil levels and stuff. (Or whatever master engineers do). The races that followed made it one of the most successful Bugatti racing models ever, and it won so many titles that they probably ran out of space in their trophy cabinet. So, taking inspiration from this little legend of a car, Sajdin Osmancevic has designed this incredible coffee machine in the likeness of the Type 35.

Just for the record…

Incidentally, and just for the record, Sajdin Osmancevic works for Ford as a Senior Designer. He presumably churns out beautiful Fords when he’s not too busy making Bugatti coffee machines.

Also, for the record, the above sentence is the first time that Bugatti and Ford have been used in the same sentence.

It’s small, but looks perfect. Above all, the attention to detail is legendary.

To make a coffee you flip open the gleaming gold emblem on the curved hood and drop a capsule in. To the rear of the car-fee machine (sorry) is the scaled replica of the Type 35’s petrol tank cap which is used to flip between single and double shots. The coffee itself brews out from underneath the Bugatti badge on the front.

Along the side of the machine there are some beautiful steam vents designed to mimic the Type 35’s side hood radiator grilles, along with decals to echo back to the 35’s good old days.

Walnut brown leather details add that extra little touch of luxury.

We’ve no idea how much this costs, but one thing’s certain – it’s not going to appear on any “10 things to buy him for Christmas under £100” lists.
